Featured User Interview Edit
How do you feel about being Featured User?
"Being Featured User is always fun and exciting, but I have a feeling this could be my last time. We have many more active editors now than ever before, so there's likely going to be some new faces appearing in the next few interviews. I simply can't keep up with them!"
# 1. Q) What do you find most enjoyable about SNN?
To me, SNN (or Wikia in general) has always been a symbol of augmentation. Just look around. This wiki looks nothing like it did a year ago. SNN is continuously evolving through the determined, spirited and hardworking editors we gain daily. Every day, we see a new face. We never know what kind of editor they are until they make their first edit. But we all have one thing in common right form the very beginning: our affinity towards Sonic the Hedgehog. I enjoy the fact that SNN will continue to flourish even if I'm not around to throw in my two-cents.
# 2. Q) What do you think would be the most unusual genre/gametype for a Sonic game?
I'd have to say a gory/horror themed game. Sonic is generally an attraction for kids and (young) teens, so that genre would be very surprising. (I happen to be a fan of this genre though, so I'd be one of the few who would actually like it!)
# 3. Q) What's your favorite Sonic media outside of the video games?
I've been interested in the Archie Comics universe of Sonic, but I have yet to actually purchase a single comic! I did download a few free comics from the Archie app on my iPhone. Most of my money goes to iTunes music, but I'm sure I'll get around to buying a few comic issues some day.
# 4. Q) If a Sonic horror movie were made, what would you think of it?
This goes back to a previous question that I answered. I love horror movies, but I believe this genre would be very unattractive (and intimidating) for the general Sonic fanbase. But come on, who wouldn't want to see Eggman get slaughtered by a serial killer or even one of his own robots?
# 5. Q) What's the strangest thing to happen to you on the internet?
I'd rather not talk about it; the very mention of it may cause some provocations. :P
# 6. Q) Who's your favorite artist on the web?
The lovely and talented Evan Stanley, whom had a wonderful interview with me around Christmas 2012, leading to the construction of her article a few days later. I also love the art styles of Tracy Yardley, Katrins, Tangerinna, Drones, and this guy too. Check out his art; he'd like that very much.
# 7. Q) What would you think of another Sonic anime?
I would definitely watch it. I'm not too picky or critical when it comes to anime or games. You'll see many people complaining about certain elements of an anime. Let's use Sonic X as an example. There are always complaints about the fact that humans shouldn't have been a part of it, particularly Chris Thorndyke. I see this all the time. There's also the continuous complaints about Sonic the Hedgehog '06. I personally enjoyed the game, but to this very day, there is still useless bickering pertaining to it. It's 2013; just let it go already and move on.
# 8. Q) Any design changes you'd think of for the wiki?
None so far. I actually like the current look of the wiki, but there's still room for improvement. The wonderful thing about wikis is that they are always changing. In the next few years, the design we have now may get boring, and thus, others will offer suggestions of how they believe the wiki should look. It's a collaboration effort really.
# 9. Q) What's the strangest thing you've seen in a Sonic game?
# 10. Q) Who do you consider the strangest character in the Sonic franchise?
I honestly can't think of anyone. Though, I suppose I can say Marine the Raccoon and Charmy Bee. They're not really strange to me, but they can be annoying from time to time, which I'm sure is what Sonic Team wanted to convey with these characters, so kudos to them.
